Iranian strikes damaged hundreds of US military buildings, dozens of aircraft
Iranian strikes damaged or destroyed hundreds of buildings and structures at U.S. bases across eight Middle Eastern countries, according to a Defense Department inspector-general report drawing on Central Command data. The assessment also confirmed damage or destruction to dozens of crewed and uncrewed aircraft, including four F-15Es, one A-10, four AH-6s, one AH-64, one MH-60, an MQ-4C and as many as 30 MQ-9 Reapers. Four U.S. diplomatic facilities sustained an estimated $184 million in damage, while the report listed 18 military deaths and 774 wounded by late August.
