Lockheed Martin Advances Javelin Dual-Launcher Integration on KONGSBERG Medium-Caliber Turret
The Javelin Joint Venture completed a simulation-based demonstration of a two-missile Javelin launcher integrated with a Kongsberg medium-caliber turret prototype in Norway. The configuration places two ready-to-fire anti-armor missiles alongside a stabilized 30- or 40-millimeter cannon, giving a future vehicle crew more engagement choices without leaving protection. The event established digital and mechanical integration in an initial development phase, while formal qualification and planned live-fire testing remain necessary before the dual launcher can be treated as an operationally available future turret option for armored vehicles.
