European defense giant KNDS rolls out new heavy vehicle mobility kit
KNDS Mobility unveiled Celeris 8x8 at Poland's MSPO 2026 exhibition as a modular mobility kit for wheeled armoured vehicles weighing up to 36 tonnes. Rather than a complete vehicle, the package combines an engine, transmission, axles, suspension, onboard electronics and engineering support that manufacturers or armed forces can use as the basis for mission-specific platforms. It extends the Celeris 4x4 approach already used for Finland's SCATA MK1 armoured personnel carrier and projects in four other countries. KNDS did not identify a launch customer, production order or finished 8x8 configuration, leaving protection, armament and mission equipment to integrators.
