Marss Systems Wins Major Kuwaiti Air Defense Contract
MARSS, an Electro Optic Systems company, signed a conditional £370 million contract with Kuwait for a nationwide counter-drone network covering airborne and coastal seaborne threats. As prime contractor and integrator, MARSS will connect electro-optical, radar and sonar sensors to central command centers through its NiDAR artificial-intelligence-enabled command system, with initial hard-kill interceptors and soft-kill jammers included. Execution requires a £74 million bank guarantee, a matching customer advance and export licences; delivery is planned in phases over 24 months once these conditions are met, with operator training and multi-year logistics support. The contract expands previously fielded Gulf-region NiDAR arrangements to national scale and is expected to create approximately 100 jobs across MARSS and its British supply chain.
