More bidders move onto starting grid for British Army Land Rover replacement programme
Additional teams have entered the early competition to replace the British Army's aging Land Rover-based light utility fleet. The Light Mobility Vehicle program is examining commercial and military four-wheel-drive platforms that can be adapted for command, liaison, logistics and other support tasks. A broader bidder field gives the Ministry of Defence options on price, payload, protection, support and domestic industrial participation. The process remains at a competitive stage, with no downselect, final fleet size, contract value or service-entry timetable confirmed for the future British fleet.
