U.S. Army demonstrates M-LIDS counter-drone system to Indian forces as Yudh Abhyas 2026 addresses evolving aerial threats

The U.S. Army demonstrated its Mobile-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft Integrated Defeat System to Indian troops during Yudh Abhyas 2026 in Rajasthan. American operators retained control while Indian personnel observed detection, tracking and engagement procedures and exchanged counter-drone tactics at the Mahajan Field Firing Range. M-LIDS links command software, Ku-band radar, electro-optical and infrared sensors, electronic warfare and kinetic effectors on mobile vehicles. Operating in heat, dust and open terrain showed how the layered system can protect manoeuvring formations, but the activity was a bilateral demonstration rather than an Indian procurement announcement.
