U.S. Army orders more of its M110 sniper systems
The U.S. Army awarded Knight's Armament Company a five-year, firm-fixed-price contract worth up to $49,997,842 for M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper Systems. Running through September 10, 2031, the sole-bid award covers 7.62x51 mm rifles and variants, accessories, spare parts, special tools and training; work locations and funding will be assigned with individual orders. The original M110, derived from the SR-25, remains in demand despite Army fielding of the lighter Heckler & Koch-based M110A1 as its planned successor. This contract is separate from a $21 million 2025 order for M110 systems intended for Ukraine.
