MBDA Counter Mass Interceptor Gets Polish Airframe, Firings Due 2027
MBDA's counter-mass interceptor program has received a Polish-built airframe, with live firing trials scheduled for 2027. The program, developed in collaboration with Polish defense industry partner WITu, aims to produce a low-cost interceptor capable of defeating drone swarms and mass munitions attacks. The Polish airframe integration represents a key industrial milestone and positions the program for its next phase of testing, targeting a capability gap that European air defense planners have identified as critical following experience in the Ukrainian conflict.
