US approves additional MH-60R helicopters for Denmark
The U.S. State Department approved a possible $425 million foreign military sale to Denmark covering three MH-60R Seahawk helicopters, associated equipment, training and support. Denmark has operated nine MH-60Rs since 2016 and later added dipping-sonar equipment, giving the fleet anti-submarine, anti-surface, surveillance and search-and-rescue utility across the Baltic and North Atlantic. The approval allows the proposed government-to-government transaction to proceed through further negotiations, but it is not yet a signed production contract and the final value may be lower depending on the package ultimately ordered.
