ASELSAN MORFOZ Guidance Kit Hits Target in First AKINCI Firing
Baykar's AKINCI struck a target during its first firing of ASELSAN's MORFOZ guidance kit over the Gulf of Saros on October 8, 2026. The kit separated safely, executed predetermined manoeuvres to validate its autopilot and completed the guided engagement before the aircraft returned to Çorlu. MORFOZ combines deployable wings, inertial and satellite navigation, waypoint tracking, selectable impact angles and onboard telemetry, with an eight-channel antenna designed to resist navigation-signal jamming. The aircraft also carried ALPAGUT during the sortie, but no ALPAGUT firing was reported; MORFOZ's range, accuracy and resistance to jamming during this particular test were not disclosed.
