Patria wins European NATO order for MUSCL passive radar network to track drones and aircraft without revealing its own position
Patria received an order from an undisclosed European NATO country for a network of MUSCL passive-radar stations, spares, training and support. MUSCL detects and tracks aircraft and drones by analysing reflections from existing broadcast signals, so the sensors do not transmit energy that would reveal their positions. The transportable system is intended for covert air surveillance, early warning and counter-UAS missions in contested electromagnetic environments. Patria did not disclose the contract value, station count or delivery schedule, limiting assessment of the network’s planned geographic coverage.
