Patria wins contract for MUSCL radar with unnamed European Nato ally
Patria signed a contract to supply its MUSCL passive radar system to an unnamed European NATO member. MUSCL detects and tracks aircraft and drones by processing emissions and reflections from existing radio-frequency sources, supporting situational awareness without transmitting like a conventional active radar. The award is a confirmed sale, but Patria did not disclose the customer, contract value, number of systems or delivery schedule. The passive architecture can complement active sensors and complicate hostile detection of the surveillance network, although operational performance depends on configuration and the surrounding electromagnetic environment.
