U.S. Air Force opens bids for its Megatron contract
The U.S. Air Force opened industry feedback on draft requirements for Megatron, a planned multiple-award contracting vehicle for the Department of the Air Force's Battle Network command-and-control portfolio. Proposed work spans digital infrastructure, sensor integration, secure data processing, networking, software, and simulated training, with separate small-business and unrestricted competition pools. Comments are due September 30 and a virtual industry day is scheduled for October 7, ahead of a draft solicitation by year-end, a final request in early 2027, and targeted awards in summer 2027; no bids or contracts have yet been awarded.
