SPEEL PRAHA to Bring Modular Avionics to Replace Legacy Systems Across Military Aircraft Fleets
Czech company SPEEL PRAHA will present a modular avionics portfolio that allows military operators to replace obsolete cockpit and recording equipment without redesigning an aircraft's entire architecture. The offering includes the PDU-159 digital head-up display with night-vision compatibility, CARE crash-protected recorder, data-acquisition units supporting ARINC 429 and MIL-STD-1553, and software for post-flight analysis. The approach targets fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters with mixed legacy systems, improving flight-data management, debriefing and maintenance while limiting retrofit risk; actual installation still requires platform certification, interface engineering and customer-specific qualification.
