U.S. Marines Expand NMESIS Anti-Ship Missile Force With $404M Kongsberg Award
The U.S. Marine Corps has awarded Kongsberg a firm-fixed-price contract worth up to $404.4 million for additional Naval Strike Missile launcher units, weapon-control systems and support equipment. The equipment supports the unmanned NMESIS coastal anti-ship system, which mounts two missiles on a remotely operated ROGUE-Fires vehicle derived from the JLTV. Work is scheduled through September 2034, with 85 percent performed in Norway and 15 percent in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. No funds were obligated at award and quantities remain order-dependent, although the fiscal 2027 request includes 32 launchers and 103 missiles.
