Russian warship gets building-style camo after drone strikes
Photographs from Kronstadt show a Russian Navy corvette painted with false windows, doors and façade outlines so its hull resembles a waterfront building. Netting has also been rigged over parts of the deck, apparently to complicate visual recognition and provide limited protection against small drones. The treatment is a passive survivability measure rather than a change to the ship’s sensors, weapons or manoeuvring capability. Its effectiveness against modern electro-optical targeting, radar or pre-mapped strike missions is uncertain, but the adaptation illustrates the pressure created by repeated Ukrainian attacks on Russian naval assets.
