Ukraine claims first-ever battle between naval drones
Ukraine’s Navy and military intelligence agency said a Ukrainian surface drone destroyed a Russian unmanned boat in the Black Sea, describing it as the first combat engagement between two naval drones. Intelligence personnel reportedly identified the Russian craft before a Sargan-3000 unmanned surface vessel attacked it with a Protector remotely operated 12.7mm weapon station. The agencies released imagery but did not disclose the date, precise location, or Russian vehicle type. The first-of-its-kind characterization and the outcome therefore remain Ukrainian claims that have not been independently verified.
