Finland buys over 100 mobile mortar systems from Patria
Finland ordered more than 100 Patria TREMOS 120-millimeter turreted mortar systems, with options that could substantially increase the total. TREMOS mounts a protected, vehicle-integrated mortar that can fire quickly, change position and reduce the exposure of its crew compared with dismounted systems. The acquisition will expand mobile indirect-fire capacity for Finnish formations and provide a common domestic support base. Patria and the procurement authority did not disclose the contract value, exact vehicle integration plan or detailed delivery sequence in the announcement for the Finnish Defence Forces.
