Ukraine Aid

Western military assistance to Ukraine has flowed continuously since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022, evolving from man-portable anti-tank and anti-air systems toward a long-range strike, armored, and air-power posture. Patriot batteries, ATACMS and Storm Shadow cruise missiles, Abrams and Leopard 2 main battle tanks, F-16 fighters, and HIMARS rocket artillery now feature alongside ammunition packages worth tens of billions. The Ukraine Defense Contact Group — the Ramstein format — coordinates more than fifty contributing nations. Sustaining the flow has become a domestic political issue in Washington, Berlin, and Paris, with the EU's bridging facilities increasingly load-bearing as U.S. appropriations slow.
