European Commission clears €3.2 billion for Ukraine to procure Patriot interceptor missiles, adding to €8.4 billion already released
The European Commission authorized a further €3.2 billion disbursement intended to help Ukraine purchase Patriot air-defense interceptors. That tranche follows €8.4 billion already released through the same European financing framework, while the number and type of missiles remain undisclosed. The funding forms part of the planned €90 billion Ukraine Support Loan for 2026 and 2027, with €60 billion earmarked for defense needs. It gives Kyiv additional purchasing power as Russian missile and drone attacks continue to consume scarce high-end interceptors, without specifying particular vendors or delivery dates.
