Kuwait Cleared for $400M Patriot Missile Repair After Iranian Strikes
The US State Department approved a possible $400 million sale of Patriot missile repair and return services to Kuwait on October 2. The package covers sustainment support including transportation, spare parts, test equipment, technical documentation, training, maintenance, and engineering and logistics services intended to restore Patriot components to service. The notification does not specify missile variants or quantities and represents an estimated ceiling for proposed support rather than a signed contract for new interceptors. Publicly available details of the 2026 case do not establish the principal contractors or a fixed duration for contractor personnel in Kuwait.
