Pentagon wants new family of maneuverable hypersonic weapons
The Pentagon has issued requirements for a new family of maneuverable hypersonic weapons capable of defeating advanced air defences through unpredictable flight profiles. The programme seeks to go beyond current boost-glide concepts by incorporating in-flight manoeuvre capability at hypersonic speeds. Multiple services are expected to contribute to the development roadmap.
