Poland unveils light machine gun and rifle-mounted C-UAV system
Poland unveiled a domestically developed 5.56×45 mm light-machine-gun demonstrator and a rifle-mounted counter-drone system at the MSPO 2026 exhibition in Kielce. The machine gun, developed by Fabryka Broni Łucznik-Radom, extends Poland’s small-arms portfolio, while the compact counter-UAS equipment is intended to give individual soldiers a portable response to nearby drones. Both concepts reflect battlefield demand for greater squad-level firepower and organic drone defense, though they remain demonstrators and will require further testing before procurement or fielding decisions.
