US and German Navies Conduct Minelaying Operations During REPMUS 26
US and German naval forces conducted minelaying activities during the REPMUS 26 exercise, using the event to test combined procedures and maritime uncrewed technologies. The serials focused on how allied units can plan, deploy and monitor mine warfare effects while sharing information across national systems. REPMUS provides a controlled setting for evaluating autonomy, communications and interoperability in realistic coastal conditions. Participation demonstrates experimentation and procedural development; it does not disclose operational mine inventories, classified tactics or a new procurement decision by either navy for either participant.
