US Firm Teledyne FLIR Unveils Ranger R10-3DX Radar to Detect Micro-Drones Beyond 3 km
Teledyne FLIR Defense introduced the Ranger R10-3DX counter-drone radar at AUSA on October 13, with availability scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. The company states that it detects micro-drones beyond 3 km, pedestrians beyond 6 km and light vehicles beyond 12 km, combining air and ground surveillance. One digital beam-forming panel covers 90 degrees in azimuth and up to 60 degrees in elevation, while four panels provide 360-degree coverage. AI-based classification distinguishes drones, aircraft, birds, people and vehicles, and the radar supports integration with electro-optical sensors and mitigation equipment on fixed sites or mobile platforms.
