U.S. Marine Corps orders SAFE MULE loaders
The US Marine Corps awarded SAFE Structure Designs a contract exceeding $10 million for an initial quantity of SAFE MULE expeditionary cargo loaders, including operator training and technical support. The tracked platform can self-load a 10,000-pound 463L cargo pallet onto its deck while remaining transportable inside a V-22 Osprey. Adjustable deck height and integrated rollers support transfers to aircraft and vehicles, while the supplied configuration uses controls without a radio-frequency link. Announced on October 13, the order has no disclosed unit count or delivery schedule, and discussions about an additional 2027 purchase remain subject to requirements, funding and procurement decisions.
