General Dynamics Gets $194 Million Contract for SLCM-N Fire Control Work
General Dynamics received a $194.1 million award for technical and engineering support related to the fire-control system for the nuclear-armed sea-launched cruise missile, or SLCM-N. Work is scheduled through September 30, 2028, with about $135.3 million obligated at award, and supports integration planning and systems engineering for future submarine deployment. The program is expected to use Virginia Payload Module-equipped submarines in the 2030s, with a limited operational capability targeted around fiscal 2032, so the contract advances development rather than providing a fielded weapon today.
