US Space Force to add 10,000 guardians in next 5 years
The U.S. Space Force plans to add about 10,000 Guardians over the next five years, approximately doubling its uniformed strength. The expansion is intended to support growing missions in space control, missile warning, satellite communications, intelligence and new operational units as the service fields additional constellations and defensive capabilities. The figure is a workforce objective rather than personnel already authorized and recruited in full, and annual growth will depend on budgets, transfers, training capacity and retention. Civilian employees and supporting contractors are separate from the uniformed target.
