US buys Avon Protection half mask for special forces
The U.S. Department of War has ordered Avon Protection's MITR respiratory-protection equipment for special operations personnel, including the MITR-M1 half-mask and compatible modular accessories. The system combines a compact respirator with options such as the MITR-PG1 powered goggle and particulate or riot-control filtration, allowing equipment configurations to suit different mission requirements. The half-mask is certified under applicable U.S. respiratory-protection standards, with compatible P100 filtration designed for high-efficiency particle removal. The announced order establishes a U.S. special-operations customer for the product family, but neither the procurement quantity nor its financial value was disclosed.
