Raytheon says next StormBreaker weapon lot will add M Code anti-jam GPS for U.S. Air Force and allies in contested environments
Raytheon says the next production lot of GBU-53/B StormBreaker glide bombs will incorporate military M-Code GPS for the U.S. Air Force and international customers. M-Code is designed to provide stronger encryption, authentication and resistance to jamming than legacy satellite-navigation signals, improving weapon reliability in contested electromagnetic environments. Combined with StormBreaker’s multimode seeker, data link and ability to engage moving targets in poor weather, the navigation upgrade will add another layer of resilience without changing the weapon’s core precision-strike role.
