Russia Delivers More T-90M and T-72B3M Tanks as It Rebuilds Combat Power in Ukraine
Uralvagonzavod and Rostec announced delivery of an undisclosed batch of T-90M Proryv and modernized T-72B3M tanks to the Russian Army on September 12. The manufacturers said the vehicles incorporate improved all-aspect protection developed from combat experience, including adaptations intended to reduce vulnerability to unmanned aircraft. T-90Ms are newly built versions of Russia’s most advanced fielded T-72/T-90 derivative, whereas T-72B3Ms are refurbished older hulls with upgraded sights, armour, mobility, and fire control. Russian officials say output is rising to replace wartime losses, but neither vehicle numbers nor receiving units were identified.
