Tekever raises $580 million as investors back Ukraine-honed defence tech firm
Portuguese autonomous-systems company Tekever raised $580 million in the first close of a Series D round that valued the business at $6.4 billion. University of California Investments and Baillie Gifford led the financing, joined by new investor Merlyn Advisors and existing backers including Crescent Cove, Ventura and Iberis Capital. Tekever plans to use the capital for research, global manufacturing, delivery and customer support capacity as demand grows for its artificial-intelligence-enabled uncrewed aircraft and related systems, which have gained operational experience through deployments including in Ukraine.
