UK produce engine family in 30 to 2,000N thrust range
The UK Ministry of Defence and Alloyed developed a digitally manufactured turbojet family spanning approximately 30 to 2,000 newtons of thrust. A 300-newton engine has completed flight testing and entered serial production, while a 1,100-newton design progressed from concept to flight-ready status in under seven months. Additive manufacturing and digital design are intended to cut cost and lead time for drones, interceptors, and other expendable aircraft. The program creates a sovereign propulsion source supported by more than 40 UK suppliers and a growing specialist workforce.
