Viasat wins USD307 million award to provide multi-orbit connectivity to USMC
Viasat's Inmarsat Government business received an initial $42 million Marine Corps task order under the seven-year, $307 million Multi-Orbit Expeditionary Communications Services 2 contract. The service will combine L-, Ku-, and Ka-band capacity across multiple satellite networks with terminals, network management, and end-to-end support for expeditionary users. The larger figure is the indefinite-delivery contract ceiling, while future revenue and fielded capacity will depend on additional task orders placed during the performance period. This distinction matters because ceiling value measures possible purchasing authority, not equipment already delivered to Marine units.
