Ukrainian Navy claims first USV-on-USV kill
The Ukrainian Navy said a Sargan 3000 uncrewed surface vessel destroyed a Russian USV in the Black Sea, claiming the first recorded USV-on-USV kill. Video released on September 12 shows the Ukrainian craft using a Kongsberg Protector remote weapon station armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun, while Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reportedly identified the target before engagement. The Sargan 3000 entered naval service in April 2026. The claim is supported by multiple camera views released by Ukraine, although independent access to the destroyed Russian craft was unavailable.
