Lithuanian Drone Maker UDS Opens Ukraine Venture for ISTAR, Strike Drones
Lithuanian defence company UDS announced the creation of UDS Ukraine in Kyiv on October 6, establishing a permanent local presence through a joint venture. The organisation will work with Ukrainian military users and partners on surveillance, reconnaissance, precision strike and command-and-control capabilities linked by a shared software architecture. Its approach emphasises interoperability and open interfaces, with local teams supporting deployment, training and cooperation with operational units. Establishing the venture provides a route for battlefield feedback to inform product development and integration, but the announcement does not establish a factory, a specified production capacity or a disclosed equipment order.
