Belgium's second rMCM ship 'Tournai' Arrives in Zeebrugge
Tournai, Belgium's second City-class robotic mine-countermeasures vessel, arrived at Zeebrugge on September 22 after completing harbor and sea acceptance trials. The ship is the third vessel produced under the Belgian-Dutch rMCM program and is designed to keep its crew outside minefields while deploying unmanned air, surface and underwater systems for detection and neutralization. Built through the Naval Group and Exail industrial team, Tournai remained the consortium's property on arrival and was scheduled for formal transfer into Belgian Navy ownership on September 25 following that acceptance process.
