Babcock and Arqit test quantum-resistant battlefield link

Babcock and Arqit demonstrated quantum-resistant communications during the Defence Vehicle Dynamics event by linking a headquarters location with a deployed mortar system. Operational data was encrypted through Arqit's software and transmitted over different communications bearers to Babcock's Ground Deployed Advanced Mortar System at another site, without separate inline encryption hardware. The demonstration follows a memorandum of understanding covering mission-system integration, digital engineering, cryptography and support throughout equipment service life. It shows a tested communications approach for exchanging operational information between the two positions, while the companies did not announce an associated production contract or fleet-wide deployment.
