BlackSky wins six-figure pilot to give foreign intelligence agency on-demand 35-centimeter imagery
BlackSky received a six-figure pilot contract from an undisclosed foreign intelligence agency for on-demand access to its Gen-3 high-resolution Earth-imaging service. The customer will receive taskable imagery at approximately 35 cm resolution together with automated analytics delivered into secure operational workflows. The short-duration pilot adds a new international government customer and is intended to evaluate rapid collection and intelligence delivery rather than procure a fixed satellite constellation or long-term service package. BlackSky did not identify the country, exact contract value or image volume, while additional Gen-3 satellites are planned to expand capacity by the end of 2026.
