Booz Allen Hamilton has been awarded a contract to develop a Space-Based Interceptor prototype under the Golden Dome missile defense architecture. The award marks a concrete step toward fielding a space-layer intercept capability as part of the U.S. layered missile defense strategy. The prototype effort will explore technical feasibility for intercepting ballistic and hypersonic threats from orbit.
