GA-ASI Reveals First Wildfire UAS Renderings

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems released the first renderings of Wildfire, a proposed modular combat uncrewed aircraft positioned as a lower-cost complement or successor to larger remotely piloted systems. The concept emphasizes range, payload flexibility and massed employment, with imagery showing configurations able to carry substantial precision weapons for maritime or land-strike missions. Renderings establish the intended design direction rather than a completed prototype, contract or flight program, and important characteristics such as propulsion, autonomy, survivability, unit cost and development schedule will have to be demonstrated before any operational assessment is possible.
