GE Aerospace raises F110 fighter engine output 50% through manufacturing investment and measures to ease supply bottlenecks
GE Aerospace says F110 fighter-engine output has increased 50% year over year since the second quarter of 2025, supporting demand for F-15EX and F-16 aircraft. Since 2023, the company has invested more than $600 million across its defense manufacturing facilities and committed over $100 million to supplier tooling and equipment. Artificial intelligence tools on F110 and F404 lines identify supply risks, while a focused process improvement cut lead time for the F110 high-pressure compressor forward shaft by roughly 60%. Total defense-engine output rose 15% in the first half of 2026, although castings remain an industry constraint.
