Russia Fields 500 km/h Dan-T Loitering Munition in Strikes on Ukraine
Russia has deployed the jet-powered Dan-T weapon against Ukraine after Rosoboronexport presented it at Egypt's El Alamein airshow on September 8, 2026. Export specifications list a 268 kg maximum takeoff weight, a 130 kg warhead, a maximum range of 450 km, a top speed of 500 km/h and GNSS/INS guidance. Rostec says the weapon is intended for launch from aircraft and helicopters, including foreign platforms, and Russian representatives said it is already in service and has been used in combat. Its external similarity to the S8000 Banderol suggests a related design, although the precise relationship has not been officially clarified.
