Raytheon Expands Global Push for AN/SPY-6 Radar

Raytheon is actively marketing the AN/SPY-6 active electronically scanned array radar to Germany, Japan, and Denmark for naval platforms. The SPY-6 family provides significant upgrades in sensitivity, discrimination, and simultaneous tracking capacity over legacy SPY-1 systems. Export variants would integrate with national destroyer and frigate programmes, deepening interoperability with the U.S. Navy. Raytheon is competing against European radar programmes for the German and Danish contracts.
