Sentinel Photonics links laser detectors into one picture
British company Sentinel Photonics introduced LASARD MAX Connect, a networked system that combines alerts from multiple passive laser-detection sensors into a common operating picture. Connected MAX devices can share laser-event data over wired or radio links, allowing operators to correlate bearings and potentially triangulate the source when more than one sensor detects an emission. The architecture supports centralized display, event logging and potential integration with existing command-and-control systems for protective responses. The manufacturer describes detection ranges of up to 10 kilometers under applicable conditions, but the announcement concerned a product launch rather than a disclosed military order or field deployment.
