Ukrainian attacks damage three Yandex data centres and disrupt services across Russia
Ukrainian strikes damaged three facilities operated by Russian technology company Yandex in October, interrupting data-center services and associated cloud operations. The incidents involved the Sasovo facility in Ryazan region on October 8, a site in Kaluga region on October 9 and a data center in Vladimir region on October 11, according to reports and company statements. Yandex reported service disruptions, with operations at the Vladimir site suspended, while the damage varied between locations. Although the Sasovo complex has housed important computing infrastructure, the extent of any damage to individual supercomputers or long-term restoration timetable remains unconfirmed.
