DoD Counter-Drone Task Force Director Sees $30 Billion Annual Market By 2030
The director of the Defense Department's counter-drone task force projected that the domestic counter-UAS market could reach about $30 billion annually by 2030. The estimate reflects expected demand for sensors, command-and-control networks, electronic warfare, interceptors and directed-energy systems across military and homeland-security missions. It is a market forecast rather than an approved budget, procurement plan or contract value, and actual spending will depend on appropriations and programme choices. The task force is working to coordinate requirements and accelerate fielding across organizations that currently operate numerous separate counter-drone solutions.
