US firm begins construction of new medium unmanned vessels
Birdon America has begun building its first tranche of medium unmanned surface vessels at C&C Marine & Repair in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. C&C Marine plans to produce one vessel every two months, while Mythos AI will supply the autonomy technology used to operate the craft with limited human control. Birdon has not disclosed the number of vessels or delivery dates, so the announced cadence is not a complete program schedule, but construction marks a clear transition from design and preparation into repeatable production of the new MUSV platform.
