NSA wants AI to help analysts sift vast data troves
The National Security Agency is seeking artificial-intelligence tools that can help analysts search, triage and connect information across exceptionally large data holdings. The objective is to reduce time spent on repetitive discovery and surface relevant relationships for human review, rather than delegate final intelligence judgments automatically. Any deployment must also address classification, access controls, provenance, model error and the risk of exposing sensitive sources. Public descriptions outline a capability need, but do not publicly identify a selected vendor, contract value, operational model or deployment timetable.
