AEVEX develops Specter jet-powered attack platform with swappable payloads and Divergent technology to support production at scale
AEVEX announced Specter in late September as a turbojet-powered autonomous one-way attack platform being developed with Divergent Technologies for ground-launched and air-launched configurations. An interchangeable nose section is intended to support kinetic, non-kinetic, electronic-warfare and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance payloads, while open interfaces allow upgrades without redesigning the entire airframe. The program draws on AEVEX's CompassX autonomy architecture and incorporates Divergent's DAPS digital manufacturing platform to support rapid design iteration and scalable production. Specter remains under development, with the collaboration focused on modularity and manufacturability rather than an announced operational deployment or production order.
